About GoShizen
Go comes from the surname Gosar and the spirit of going forward. Shizen (自然) is Japanese for nature.
Our farming is chemical-free, grounded in natural-farming methods. We work slowly and pay close attention to what the soil shows us over time. Modern research and tools support the same work, in service of the land and the people it feeds.
The farm grows mostly seasonal vegetables for the local market, on cover-cropped, no-till land. A few crops reach export grade when the season cooperates. No chemical inputs.
Jinova Systems is the software side. So far we've shipped JapaneseCompass (a Japanese-learning project across web, Instagram, and YouTube), KokoroLinks (privacy-first digital invitations), and SecScan (a quick web-security check). We're also doing applied AI work, currently focused on medical speech recognition and sleep-analysis models.
Profits from the software side fund the farm experiments. Working on the farm changes how we approach everything else.
